I absolutely live for these downtown city engagement session, but this one fully introduced me to the wonderful Nashville heat. Even though the heat was hot and I was dripping in sweat (which has never been a problem for me until we moved to Tennessee ha) these two love birds rocked their beautiful session.
I alway encourage my couples to have an engagement session for many reasons. Here are just a few reasons…
#1 This allows me to get to know both the bride and the groom. Chances are I will get to meet the bride at the consultation, but not the groom. I definitely want to meet you both and get to know you, because I will be with you for 8+ hours on your big day!
#2 Engagement session allows me to see how the couple photographs. So if the groom is a blinker, I know I need to shoot more to insure I get his eyes open. Maybe the bride prefers her right side over her left. This allows me to learn my couple and be confident for the big day!
#3 Engagement sessions allow me to teach my couple how I pose and build confidence in front of my camera. Engagement sessions are essentially practice for the big day. This gives the couple great confidence on their wedding day because they know exactly what to expect when it comes time to do their portraits.
